Are you ready to embark on a journey of rejuvenation and relaxation right from the comfort of your chair? Join Catherine for "Rejuvenate and Relax: 6-Week Chair Yoga Series" where we blend the ancient wisdom of yoga with the accessibility of yoga in and with a chair. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner, new to yoga, or just returning to yoga; this series is designed to bring balance, flexibility, and peace to your body and mind. We will move through this 6-week series beginning with the foundations of yoga. From there we will transition to gentle stretching and mobility, finding core strength and stability, relaxation and stress reduction as well as balance.

It's no surprise to you that you are bombarded with stressors that have a negative impact on your mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. And you also know (or have heard) that Yoga is a very powerful practice to help you to feel better in body/mind/spirit. Yet did you know that you can apply different, specialized Yoga practices that have a therapeutic benefit to help shift your mood?

Join Diane Murphy "The Mystic Nurse" who has over 20 years experience as a behavioral health nurse as well as 13 years experience as a Yoga & meditation teacher and holistic wellbeing coach to learn how to care for your overstressed nervous system so that you can experience more presence, joy and connection. This 3 hour workshop will include some theory based on the vagus nerve as well as Yoga philosophy regarding the Gunas (the 3 qualities of energy that we each carry within us).  We will practice 2-3 types of movement and breath practices that will "meet your mood", such as soothing/grounding, energizing and balancing.  This workshop is appropriate for all levels, even beginners. Please wear loose fitting/comfortable clothing for gentle movement practices.

Yoga to Nurture your Nervous System - Diane

This 10-class series explores the intersection of restorative movement, meditation, and spiritual topics common to both yoga and recovery programs. We will begin each class with a spiritual topic of discussion on our mats, followed by a reflection period in meditation. We will then end with a 30-40 minute long restorative flow. Props will be available as needed for comfort. The spiritual topics considered each week include the 5 Yamas and the 5 Niyamas of yoga. These donation-based classes are open to all, with special consideration for individuals impacted by addiction in any form.
