Grief is a complex process that affects our physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Whether it is the death of a loved one, passing of a pet, the end of a relationship, dismissal from work, illness, infertility, a move or an empty nest, mourning is part of life, and we don’t have to go through it alone. Yoga provides a way to support the nervous system and is a powerful tool to express, release, and transform the pain we hold on to. This class is dedicated to hold grief of all sorts and will provide and safe and compassionate space to move through our feelings. Each class will differ and might include a mix of movement, restorative poses, myofascial release, breathing work, meditation, reiki, and sounds, to calm the body, quiet the mind and slowly heal after loss.

Yoga for Grief - Morgane

Kirtan is call and response singing in Sanskrit. When we participate in Kirtan however, it isn't about how you sound. It is about connecting your heart to your voice and through that, contacting to the heart of the Universal Field that we are call connected to. Throughout the Kirtan, Sri will tell stories related to the cosmic energies of the Vedic gods and goddesses that we are singing about, to give greater context about how we can relate to them. This practice is accessible to everyone regardless of your perceived ability to sing :) The vibrations of the harmonium are healing, so even sitting and listening can provide a beautiful experience. No experience necessary. All ages welcome. Chant sheets will be provided.
