Trauma-Informed yoga with keely
Class Pass / Donation
This is a Slow flow vinyasa class that incorporates mindfulness into the movements to allow students to take ownership of choice and enhance body/mind engagement and enhancement.
“Trauma informed yoga is about choice, safety, and self-agency. It’s NOT about forcing the body into a pose- it’s about learning to listen to the body again. By creating spaces where survivors can move at their own pace and make choices that feel right for them. Yoga becomes more than a
practice, it becomes a tool for healing.”

Yoga Nidra and Meditation offer a respite from sensory overload, media, pressure and effort. Cocooned in your hammock, seated or laying down, experience more ease with live and recorded meditations and soothing sounds. During winter months, wear layers as the body often cools as the brain waves slow down. Feel comfy with blankets provided and an optional push to swing more as you ease into rest. In the warmer weather, enjoy the breeze and fresh air with plenty of open windows. During all seasons, hear soothing raindrops on the roof. Benefits may include deep rest, sensory rest, better sleep, calmer nervous system, balanced heart rate, blood sugars and/ or blood pressure, increased emotional well being, clarity, intuition and self trust, and tangible progress in manifesting your heart's desires.
Balance the high intensity of everyday life with rest or conscious dreaming, fully guided by our teachers. All teachers are trained in the same philosophy and protocols of the practice. Every teacher understands the yoga nidra process, is sensitive to your needs and attentive to the room. Come as you are, yoga clothing is not necessary. A hammock or mat will be waiting for you. Kirtan is call and response singing in Sanskrit. When we participate in Kirtan however, it isn't about how you sound. It is about connecting your heart to your voice and through that, contacting to the heart of the Universal Field that we are call connected to.
Throughout the Kirtan, Sri will tell stories related to the cosmic energies of the Vedic gods and goddesses that we are singing about, to give greater context about how we can relate to them.
This practice is accessible to everyone regardless of your perceived ability to sing :)
The vibrations of the harmonium are healing, so even sitting and listening can provide a beautiful experience.
No experience necessary. All ages welcome.
Chant sheets will be provided.
