Becky started practicing yoga over two decades ago when she was a young teacher looking for ways to lower her anxiety. In 2016, Becky took the great leap and left her 19 year career of teaching elementary art to pursue her life long dream of becoming a full-time potter. She turned to her yoga practice as a way to prevent injury from the physical demands of her craft and to deal with the emotional stress that a small business often brings. Becoming more involved in the yoga community inspired Becky to go back to creative teaching, this time as a yoga teacher.
Becky became a registered 200 hour yoga teacher in 2019 through the Breathing Room. She is certified in Yin, Restorative and Prenatal Yoga and has additional training in Trauma Informed Yoga. All bodies are welcome in Becky’s classes. Becky lives with her husband and their three teenage children and two kitties in So. Portland. When not creating in the studio or practicing yoga, she loves to read, tend to her houseplants and flower garden and listen to true crime podcasts.
